Generate New Customers and Increase Engagement and Referrals on LinkedIn
Almost anyone who works in the corporate world can certainly be found on LinkedIn. That means with the right approach you can interact with almost any corporate entity or person. LinkedIn is an amazing tool to generate LEADS, CUSTOMERS, REFERRALS and ADVOCATES for your business.
Hello everyone. This is Rich Webb…sometimes known as the Profit Doctor. The first ‘thing’ you need to know (and by the way it is also the first habit of the 7 Habits of Absurdly Effective LinkedIn Marketers) is……..
(First) You need to know that you should be posting daily and find some way to make that an UNBREAKABLE HABIT for yourself or find someone who can implement that habit for you. For maximum effectiveness you would ideally post 2 to 3 times a day…BUT WAIT A MINUTE. When you’re posting it is imperative that you spread it out. Now what do I mean by that? My daddy used to say that “there’s nothing better than a good spread”.
Of course when he said it he was bound to be thinking about Rare roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and Mustard pickles…followed by a huge helping of fresh homemade Peach Ice Cream for dessert. And in summer you had to include fresh picked Corn on the Cob flame broiled in its husk on the grill. Seasoned with lots of creamy Irish butter, a little bit of sea salt and fresh ground pepper.
My only response to his thinking about spreads was yummmmmm! His English grandfather used to think the Brits could produce the best spreads ever…and I have to ADMIT it is still one of my own favorite meals five generations later.
However, a little later I learned a good spread is every bit as important to your marketing bottom line. So, I need to get your mind off “good eatin'” and thinking about a different kind of spread. One that will satisfy your marketing appetite! And at the same time also make your spreadsheets look much more appetizing.
(Second) So here’s what I mean. You need to spread out your posts with pauses in between each post for dramatic interest…ohhhhh, I would say at least 2 hours between posts. So when you’re spreading them out try to spread them out by at least 2 hours in between so you can achieve MAXIMUM ENGAGEMENT. By doing that you’re going to get more people paying more attention and reacting or responding more to each post. This allows you to achieve ‘More3’ or as I like to say “More to the third power!”
(Third) You absolutely need to “TEST OUT DIFFERENT POST TYPES”. So some of your posts can be just links or posts from your blog. Other types of posts can be ‘content’ that you’re putting on LinkedIn such as check lists, short quizzes with a ‘link to the answers’ back on one of your sites or part of a blog post where you put the first few paragraphs on your LinkedIn post and then from there put a quick “to continue reading” link that drives people back to your blog.
Another type of post that you can put on LinkedIn is basic status updates. Or it could even be inspirational quotes or motivational quotes. These will often generate the most engagement for you when you’re posting on LinkedIn.
Try different post types but especially short video BECAUSE video itself and using a variety of methods will help build up your engagement with viewers. Video is the fastest growing communication channel in popularity with all types of social media users.
You can get someone like WE Marketing to AFFORDABLY make you 4 to 7 short videos on different subjects relevant, interesting and/or even entertaining to your customers. (These can be 30 seconds to a minute and 1/2 long) They can then be posted on LinkedIn, your Facebook page, your website, blog and/or landing pages.
This gives you multiple BIG BANG RESULTS for your very affordable buck. WE Marketing and other content marketing agencies can do this for you easily. Of course WE Marketing will give you by far the best quality at the most affordable price. CHECK IT OUT SOON!
Now, the number of ‘influencers’ that you become connected to…and the number of friends you become connected to when you post a variety of interesting content (especially video) related to your website, Facebook page, Instagram or landing pages will not only ASTONISH YOU…
These would-be ‘lookers’ and business passers-by will become YOUR TRAFFIC directed by YOU to the destinations YOU MOST PREFER!
Follow those steps and develop these habits one-after-the-other and you will not only have a more popular LinkedIn page but you’ll also generate more traffic to all of your sites, channels and pages and create a level of dedication, loyalty and advocacy that will pleasantly surprise you.
